Dolph Lundgren is the Swedish actor who plays Gunnar Jensen in The Expendables and The Expendables 2.
Early Life
Dolph Lundgren grew up in a heavily academic household, and his father pressured him to do well in school. He wound up having difficulties with his relationship with his father, and his anger motivated him to get involved in martial arts. He spent two mandatory years in the Swedish Marine Corps. He later got a degree in chemical engineering, due to his father's advice.
Career
Dolph Lundgren's career has been a mix of sports and acting. He played a KGB henchman in a James Bond film, as one of his first acting gigs, and he also played He-Man in 1987, as well as the boxer Ivan Drago in Rocky IV. He acted throughout the 1990s and made his return to the big screen with The Expendables and The Expendables 2.
